Day 1
Arrival and Relaxation |

Welcome to Argentina! Upon your arrival in Salta, you will be met at the airport and a van will take you to meet with your host family. Your group will have the rest of the day to relax and get acclimated to your new surroundings. |

Day 2
Volunteer Orientation, Tour of Salta, Welcome Dinner |
|
| |
You will have breakfast with your host family and then participate in an orientation at our center in Salta, which will provide you with cultural and regional travel information. You will then participate in a city tour where you will explore all of the sights that Salta has to offer. In the evening, you will have a welcome dinner to meet your new friends. |

Day 3
Volunteer Work, Visit to the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology |
|

After breakfast with your host family, you will begin your volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, you will visit the MAAM Museum (Museum of High Altitude Archaeology) where you will learn more about the fascinating indigenous culture and history of the region. |

Day 4
Volunteer Work, Rafting on the Rio Juramento |

After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in a rafting trip down the Rio Juramento. You will return in the early evening to have free time with your host family. |

Day 5
Free Day with Host Family |
|
|
| |
You will have a free day with your host family. This is an excellent opportunity for you to practice your Spanish and participate in Argentine family traditions such as going to an asado (traditional BBQ).

Day 6
Volunteer Work, Aerial View of Salta via Cable Car |
|
|
| |
After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, your group will take a ride in the Salta cable car and have stunning aerial views of the region. |

Day 7
Volunteer Work, Visit to Town of Chicoana |
|
|
| |
After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, you will visit Chicoana, a small town close to Salta. This experience will help you better understand the realities of living in rural Argentina. |

Day 8
Volunteer Work, Visit to a Bean Plantation |
|

After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit a bean plantation to learn more about local industries. |

|
Day 9
Volunteer Work, Return Visit to Town of Chicoana |
|
|
| |
After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, your group will return to Chicoana and visit the friends you met on your first excursion there. |

Day 10
Volunteer Work, Sporting Activity with Local Students |

| |
After breakfast with your host family, you will participate in volunteer work in the morning. Volunteer duties will be determined by on-site staff. After lunch, you will participate in a game of fútbol (soccer) or a similar sports activity with local students. |

Day 11
Free Day with Host Family, Farewell Dinner |
|
|
| |
You will have breakfast with your host family. You will have a free day to spend with your host family and do any last-minute sight-seeing in Salta. In the evening, you will participate in a farewell dinner with families and friends. |

|
|
Day 12
Departure from Argentina |
|
|
| |
You will have breakfast with your family and then pack and leave for the airport to fly back to the United States. |
