Day 1
Arrival, Meet Host Families, Tour the City, Get Settled |

Welcome to Argentina! When you arrive at the airport in Buenos Aires, a van and representative from our office will be waiting to take your group to meet your host families. You will have the opportunity to get unpacked and then will have lunch together with your group. After lunch, you will participate in a city tour to discover Buenos Aires’ many diverse neighborhoods. You will have free time in the afternoon to explore San Telmo, home of the tango, and then have dinner together. |

Day 2
Spanish Classes, Orientation, Mate Workshop |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. You will have lunch and then participate in an orientation at our center. Following the orientation, your group will take part in a mate workshop to learn more about this traditional Argentine drink. You will then return to your host family’s house for dinner. |

Day 3
Spanish Classes, Volunteer Work, Feedback Meeting |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. After lunch, you will participate in volunteer work for the afternoon. Specific volunteer duties will be determined on-site. You will then return to our center for a feedback meeting. Afterwards, you will return to your host family’s house for dinner. |

Day 4
Spanish Classes, Volunteer Work, Tango Class |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. After lunch, you will participate in volunteer work for the afternoon. Specific volunteer duties will be determined on-site. Your group will then participate in a tango class to learn a bit about the famous dance of Argentina. Afterwards, you will return to your host family’s house for dinner. |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. After lunch, you will participate in volunteer work for the afternoon. Specific volunteer duties will be determined on-site. You will then return to our center for a feedback meeting. Afterwards, you will return to your host family’s house for dinner.

Day 6
Spanish Classes, Art History Lecture, Museum Visits, Tango Show |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. After lunch, your group will have a lecture on Argentine art history and then visit some local museums in order to learn more about this fascinating country. In the evening, you will attend a tango dinner and watch a tango show. You will then return to your host family’s house for some much-needed sleep. |

Day 7
Relax, Argentine History Lecture, Historical Museum Tour, Night Out |

You will be able to wake up later than usual and relax with your host family for breakfast. You will spend the morning with your host family enjoying some quiet time at home or out getting to know the city. You will have lunch with your group and then attend a lecture about Argentine history before visiting some local historical museums. Afterwards, you will have dinner with your host family and then meet back up with your group for an evening out on the town. |

Day 8
Estancia Visit, Evening with Host Family |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then leave for a day trip to an “estancia”—a traditional Argentine ranch. You will have the opportunity to see a picturesque part of rural Argentina, while also learning about the rich culture of the Pampa. Lunch will be provided. You will return home in the evening and enjoy dinner and the rest of the evening with your host family. |

Day 9
Spanish Classes, Volunteer Work, Neighborhood Visit |

You will have breakfast with your host family and then travel to our language center for Spanish classes. Spanish classes last from 9:00 am to noon. After lunch, you will participate in volunteer work for the afternoon. Specific volunteer duties will be determined on-site. You will then participate in an excursion to one of Buenos Aires’ many colorful neighborhoods. Afterwards, you will return to your host family for dinner. |

You will have breakfast with your host families and then have some free time to finish packing and enjoy the city for the last time. Your group will participate in a farewell lunch with your host families and then travel to the airport to go back to the United States. |
