Day 1
Arrival & Visit to Livingstone |
|
|

Welcome to Zambia! Upon your arrival at the International Airport in Livingstone, a van and your guide will be waiting to drive you to your project accommodation. Your group will be given a short speech regarding in-country orientation and cultural awareness like meals, attire, climate, lodging, and program for the trip. After dinner, there will be time to explore the local tourist spots in the quaint African town of Livingstone. |

Day 2
Livingstone Volunteer Orientation, Trip to Victoria Falls National Park |
|

In the morning after breakfast, you will be driven around Livingstone to your various work stations to get a feel for the area and a better understanding of what your work will entail over the next two weeks. After lunch, your group will venture to Victoria Falls National Park to see one of the seven natural wonders of the world. |

Day 3
Volunteer Work |
|
| |
Your day will consist of participating in a number of different areas of Zambian public health assistance. Volunteers will be put into work groups for their time in Livingstone, so that everyone will have the chance to be exposed to a broad range of aspects of health care in rural Zambia. |

Day 4
Volunteer Work, Boat Cruise on the Zambezi River |
|
|
| |
Morning volunteer work will be assigned by your project managers according to your volunteer roster. After lunch and short siesta, volunteers will go on a cruise on the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls. This beautiful boat ride will provide you with the opportunity to see local wildlife and the gorgeous African sunset. |

Day 5
Volunteer Work, Evening in Livingstone |

|
| |
Morning volunteer work will be assigned by your project managers according to your volunteer roster. After lunch, your group will continue with volunteer work as per the roster. In the evening, you can explore the Livingstone night spots with one of our local guides.

Day 6
Volunteer Work, Traditional Zambian Meal |
|
|
| |
Morning volunteer work will be assigned by your project managers according to your volunteer roster. After lunch, your group will continue with volunteer work as per the roster. In the evening, you will be hosted at a traditional Zambian eatery for a local meal. |

 |
Day 7
Safari in Chobe National Park |
|
|
| |
You will wake up early this morning to head out on safari! Your group will be taken to Chobe National Park across the border in Botswana. The park boasts the highest population of elephants in Africa, which you will have the chance to view by boat on the magnificent Chobe River. After lunch, you will go by vehicle on a guided game viewing drive through the park. You will spend the night at Chobe and experience night in the African bush. |

Day 8
Return to Livingstone, Relaxation |
|

| |
In the morning, you will return to Livingstone. You will have the afternoon to rest before starting projects again the following day. |

Day 9
Volunteer Work |
|
|
| |
You will resume your work on volunteer projects, participating on a rotational basis so that you are able to experience a variety of projects. You will volunteer in the morning and again in the afternoon. |

Day 10
Volunteer Work |

| |
Morning volunteer work will be assigned by your project managers according to your volunteer roster. After lunch, your group will continue with volunteer work as per the roster. |

Day 11
Volunteer Work, Evening Barbeque |
|
|
| |
Morning volunteer work will be assigned by your project managers according to your volunteering roster. After lunch, your group will continue with volunteer work as per the roster. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a barbeque at the volunteer base. |

Day 12
Shopping in Livingstone, Camping on the Zambezi River |
|
|
| |
Explore Livingstone markets and shops in the morning. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to Chundu Island on the Zambezi River for a night of camping on the island under the African sky! |

|
 |
Day 13
Return to Livingstone, Visit Tribal Makuni Village |
|
|
| |
In the early morning, you will travel back to Livingstone. In the afternoon, you will have the chance to visit a local tribal village on the outskirts of Livingstone. Makuni Village is a fascinating and enlightening cultural experience which will show you about local Zambian tribal culture. |

Day 14
Departure from Zambia |
|
| |
After an early breakfast, you will have time to run some last-minute
errands before heading to the airport for departure.
