  Teach English Project
Cusco, Peru

Improve the lives of underprivileged youth in Peru when you volunteer with our Teach English Project.

As a volunteer with our Teach English Project in Cusco, you will help low-income children and teenagers develop basic English skills. Knowing English will allow these young residents to participate in Peru’s tourism industry and move forward in life as adults. Since most children of poor families cannot afford to study at private language institutes, the Teach English Project provides one of their only real chances to learn English.

Volunteers in Cusco may work in orphanages, community centers serving poor neighborhoods, or public schools in rural areas often neglected by the government. You may teach English at the elementary or secondary level, either leading your own class or working as a teaching assistant to the regular teacher. You may also have the opportunity to tutor children, help them with their homework, and organize educational and recreational activities.

Your efforts as a volunteer with the Teach English Project will help ensure a brighter future for Peru’s next generation.

Our Partners
Our partner organization in Peru provides a safe and supervised environment for volunteers to learn about Peru while working to conserve its rich natural and cultural treasures.
